Emirates SkyCargo is set to further strengthen trade lanes between Switzerland and its worldwide network with the introduction of a weekly freighter service from Basel to Dubai starting 21 September 2014. Emirates adds second daily Nigeria service
Emirates has now connected Abuja, the Nigerian capital, to its worldwide network making it the carrier’s 26th destination in Africa and its 144th worldwide. Emirates began the daily A340-300 service to Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on 1 August, marking the start of the airline’s daily service to its second destination in Nigeria. Emirates posts 26th year of profits, up 43%
In a tale of contrasting fortunes with much of the industry, Emirates Airline reported a 43 per cent jump in 2013 net profit helped by higher revenue and lower fuel costs. The Dubai-based carrier posted a profit of AED3.3 billion (US$898.4 million) for the year to March 31 up from AED2.3 billion a year earlier. Emirates posts 1H net profit of US$200M Emirates airline produced a net profit of Dhs 752 million (US$205 million), for the first six months of its current financial year ending 30 September 2009. SkyCargo grows cargo capacity by 17%
Fueled by existing orders for new aircraft, Dubai's Emirates SkyCargo will grow the number of flights across its network by 14 per cent this year and increase cargo capacity by 17 per cent. Weekly cargo capacity will increase by approximately four per cent to Australia, 10 per cent to Europe, 17 per cent to the Middle East, 15 per cent to Africa.
