Korean Air has partnered with Seoul-based logistics company LX Pantos to expand the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) on cargo flights in line with net-zero carbon ambitions. Korean Air resumes routes to China, Japan
After a hiatus of three years and six months, Korean Air is resuming multiple routes to China and Japan, including Changsha, Wuhan, Weihai, Fukuoka and Nagoya. The airline has resumed its Seoul Incheon-Changsha route with flights five times a week starting July 19. Korean Air to start new Budapest route in October
Korean Air is set to fly its inaugural passenger flight to Budapest in Hungary on 3 October using its Boeing 787-900. The service will fly once a week on Mondays from Seoul Incheon to Budapest with a return flight the next day. Korean Air beat the previous quarter’s record operating profit as the airline posted revenue of KRW 2.8052 trillion (US$2.3168 billion) and an operating profit of KRW 788.4 billion (US$651.1 million) in the first quarter.
