ANA swaps order of some widebody pax to freighters
ANA Holdings has reached an agreement with Boeing to convert two orders for the Boeing 777-9 aircraft to Boeing 777-8F cargo aircraft at a director board meeting yesterday, 11 July 2022. The Japanese airline said the move reflects its plans to further expand its cargo business by securing large freighters and to replace its fleet with more fuel-efficient aircraft. Qatar Airways makes big order for Boeing’s newest freighter
Boeing earlier this week confirmed the newest addition to its 777X aircraft family as it launched the 777-8 freighter with an order for up to 50 aircraft from Qatar Airways. The Doha-based flag carrier, who will be the launch customer of the new jet, has expressed a firm order for 34 cargo jets and options for 16 more, a deal estimated to be worth more than $20 billion at current list prices. China Airlines bets on cargo with new B777F batch order
China Airlines has set its eyes on growing its cargo business as the airline ordered four more Boeing 777F long-haul freighters, with deliveries scheduled starting 2023 until 2024. The Taiwanese carrier, which also has 18 747Fs, has already ordered six of the twin-engine Boeing cargo jets.Three have been delivered so far with two more slated for 2022 and one more lined-up in 2023. Atlas Air goes straight to Boeing for four 777Fs
Atlas Air for the first time has ordered direct from Boeing for four new 777 freighters, with delivery of the first aircraft in November.
