The Kenya Airways Authority (KAA) has awarded a tender to build the second phase of the expansion and modernisation of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to China National Aero-Technology International Engineering Company (CATIC), the Business Daily reported. Long-running Sheremetyevo dispute resolved
The long-standing dispute between Sheremetyevo International Airport and the cargo terminal, Sheremetyevo-Cargo, over the lease of the land plot has been settled, according to the two players. The companies signed a new agreement in which Sheremetyevo-Cargo becomes a sub-tenant of the airport land, leasing it from Sheremetyevo Airport, as well as settling the debt accumulated during three years of disputes. Abu Dhabi records 24% cargo growth in Oct
Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) released the October 2009 traffic figures for Abu Dhabi International Airport showing strong growth throughout 2009. ADAC recorded a seven per cent increase in passengers over the course of 2009, to-date, and during the month of October saw a 2.8 per cent increase in passengers and 24.3 per cent increase in cargo against the month of October last year. Dubai International continued to buck international trends registering double-digit year-on-year increases for both freight and passenger traffic during October.
