Representatives from the southern China city of Shenzhen and at least one cargo carrier, the shipping division of China Southern Airlines, toured facilities in San Bernardino recently.
The airport is hoping to convince China Southern to transfer one or both of its two weekly Chicago cargo flights over to the San Bernardino airport. “It’s the next step in our overall process as we attempt to attract some air cargo service into the airport,” said Bill Ingraham, the airport’s aviation director.
