IATA’s de Juniac to step down next year
The IATA Board of Governors will recommend Willie Walsh, former CEO of IAG Group, as its eighth Director General effective 1 April 2021.

The International Air Transport Association announced that Alexandre de Juniac, Director General and CEO, will step down from his role with the trade association effective 31 March 2021.
De Juniac, who joined IATA in September 2016, made his intention known several months ago which enabled a search process to facilitate a smooth leadership transition.
The IATA Board of Governors will recommend Willie Walsh, former CEO of IAG Group, as its eighth Director General effective 1 April 2021 during the 76th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 24 November.
