HAECO Xiamen has successfully completed its first AEI B737-800SF freighter conversion as an authorised conversion centre for Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI).
The aircraft (MSN 29917) was redelivered to aircraft lessor Aviation Holdings III Investments, which will be operated by South Korean cargo airline Air Incheon.
In March, the lessor expressed three additional orders for AEI’s B737-800SF freighter conversion, with the first aircraft scheduled for modification at the Commercial Jet facility in Miami in April of this year.
HAECO Xiamen, authorised in August of last year, is one of five active conversion centers for AEI, which include Commercial Jet Inc., in Miami, Florida; Commercial Jet Services in Dothan, Alabama; KF Aerospace in Kelowna, BC, Canada; and STAECO in Shandong province in China.
