Indonesia’s Transportation Ministry will concentrate on expanding airports including finalising ongoing expansion projects at three international airports and constructing as many as 31 smaller airports from next year.

The three international airports are Kuala Namu International Airport in Medan, North Sumatra, Lombok International Airport in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, and Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport in Makassar, South Sulawesi. Another 31 regional airports will be funded mainly by local governments.
