PACTL’s domestic cargo volumes increased by 12.2 per cent year-on-year to 9,480 tonnes in October, while international cargo grew by 8.7 per cent to 144,127 tonnes that month. Overall imports increased by 5.3 per cent to a total figure of 561,145 tonnes during the first ten months; exports meanwhile increased by 1.8 per cent to 792,824 tonnes.
“We managed to significantly grow our international imports and domestic exports in the last couple of months,” said Lutz Grzegorz, vice president of PACTL. “This is mainly due to the fact that the demand for high-value consumer goods picked up again. We noted that long term but also new customers increasingly request our new cool chain facility, continuously developing their range of products in collaboration with PACTL. In line with this positive trend we are confident to achieve another annual record by the end of 2016”, Lutz added.
PACTL recently extended its collaboration with Air New Zealand. Previously, new customers such as Iberia Airlines and Aeroflot Russian Airlines joined PACTL.
