Alliance Ground International (AGI) picked CHAMP Cargosystem’s application programming interface (API) to enable the integration of its in-house digital cargo system with CHAMP’s Cargospot Handling system.

CHAMP said its API gateway has a developer portal designed to facilitate independent development by its customers.

The portal enables developers to view the list of available CHAMP APIs, register to use them and test them before integrating them in new software.

Looking to automate its internal processes, ground handler AGI worked with CHAMP to adapt a specific API to automate the transmission of weight data from its new scale hardware equipment directly into Cargospot.

With this API gateway service, AGI’s experts can integrate proven in-house features and functionalities around Cargospot and other CHAMP solutions to maximise efficiency.

Apart from avoiding manually entered data and duplication, this allows AGI to adapt its own processes seamlessly and in real time with CargospotCHAMP noted.

“Alliance Ground International is moving to the next stage of automation,” said Nicholas Xenocostas, VP Commercial & customer engagement at CHAMP Cargosystems.

“By using APIs, AGI is maximizing the efficiency of the CHAMP solutions they are already using and directly integrating them with their existing systems and workflows. The possibilities are endless.”
