Etihad Airways has appointed Adam Phillips as the airline’s new country manager for Malaysia.
Phillips has ten years of aviation experience and moves to Kuala Lumpur from his current role as Etihad Airways’ head of alliances, having joined the Abu Dhabi-based airline in May 2007.
During this period, Adam has overseen the development of Etihad’s alliance strategy and the establishment of codeshare and interline agreements with other airlines across the world.
He takes over in the Etihad Kuala Lumpur office from Lindsay White who has moved to become Etihad’s country manager in Australia.
Geert Boven, Etihad Airways’ executive vice president sales and services, said: “Adam has a great understanding of the aviation industry, particularly in Asia and the Far East, and he will be able to use this experience to great effect in his new post as Malaysia country manager.”
Prior to joining Etihad, Adam worked at Gulf Air where he held the position of head of alliances and schedule distribution. He was also network and alliances manager for Ansett / Air New Zealand.
