CEVA Logistics won a five-year contract with drinks manufacturer Pernod Ricard to provide warehousing and distribution support in Southeast Asia.
The logistics operator’s work in Thailand will include customs brokerage and import haulage, a combination of standard duty-paid and bonded warehouse management, and domestic transportation with value-added services, including tax stamping, warning label, gift box and repacking.
Pernod Ricard Thailand issued a competitive tender in January to enhance the storage quality and service standard, and CEVA Logistics’ offer to convert its existing multiuser site at Bangna in Bangkok into a dedicated 7,600-sqm facility for the wine maker won the company the bid.
This win further extends CEVA Logistics’ existing contract with Pernod Ricard in the Philippines and paves the way for future collaboration in other Southeast Asia and Pacific countries, the company added.
The operation in Thailand will manage an annual volume of 19 million bottles of liquor and spirit across 26 different brands, which include Chivas Regal, Ballantine, Absolut Vodka, and Martell Cognac.
