South Korea to develop 777F conversion facility
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) on 17 April signed an agreement with Sharp Technics K and Incheon International Airport Corporation, to establish a facility for the passenger-to-freighter conversion of Boeing 777-300ERSF aircraft ,dubbed the Big Twin, in South Korea. DHL Express orders Mammoth-converted freighters
DHL Express on 20 April ordered nine Mammoth-converted B777-200LR freighters from Jetran. The first cargo aircraft will be delivered in 2024, with the remaining aircraft to be supplied until early 2027. DHL is prioritizing the modernization of its long-haul intercontinental fleet, including the replacement of older planes. ST Engineering is looking to establish its presence in Asia Pacific after it announced a joint venture with Chinese cargo carrier SF Airlines.
