DB Schenker, Lufthansa Cargo on track to save 20,000 tonnes of CO2

WFS wins PIA contract for cargo handling, trucking in UK
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has won a three-year contract to provide cargo handling and trucking services for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) in the UK. WFS will handle export and import cargo for PIA’s wide-bodied flights at London Heathrow, Birmingham and Manchester, connecting customers in the UK with Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. Airbus delivers 10,000th aircraft to Singapore Airlines
Airbus celebrated the delivery of its 10,000th aircraft last week - an A350-900 for Singapore Airlines. The milestone event was marked by a special ceremony in Toulouse hosted by Airbus Group CEO Tom Enders and attended by Goh Choon Phong, CEO of Singapore Airlines. Cathay sees Sept cargo pick up with 7.1 per cent growth y-o-y
Cathay Pacific Airways today released combined Cathay Pacific and Dragonair traffic figures for September 2016 that show an increase in both the amount of cargo and mail uplifted and number of passengers carried, compared to the same month last year. The two airlines carried 162,116 tonnes of cargo and mail in September, an increase of 7.1 per cent compared to the same month last year. Boeing and Qatar Airways announced an order for 30 B787-9 Dreamliners and 10 B777-300ERs, valued at US$11.7 billion at list prices. The airline also signed a Letter of Intent for up to 60 B737 MAX 8s, valued at $6.9 billion at list prices.
