The Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG) has criticised the decision by the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Transport and Regional Development (HMWEVL) to provide fee incentives for new airlines establishing services at Frankfurt Airport. American Airlines Cargo benefits from B787-9 on int’l routes
American Airlines has launched its international B787-9 service between Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Madrid Barajas (MAD) in Spain, offering cargo customers up to 36 LD3 positions, or 12 pallets, depending on the market. The B787-9 is also currently operating from DFW to Sao Paulo (GRU) and, in January, will be added to the DFW-Paris (CDG) route. The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) has announced its new secretary general, will be Vladimir Zubkov, replacing Doug Brittin, who retires at the end of the year. In September 2016, Asia-Pacific and Middle East air freight grew, despite global trade growth remaining weak, according to the latest statistics from the Airports Council International (ACI). In September 2016 Asia-Pacific generated robust growth at +6.7 per cent whereas the Middle East increased at +3.1 per cent.
