Boeing forecasts airlines in the Middle East will require 3,180 new aircraft over the next 20 years, valued at an estimated US$730 billion, with 70 per cent of the demand expected to be driven by rapid fleet expansion in the region. The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) panel on dangerous goods voted 11-7 Wednesday against a ban on rechargeable battery shipments on passenger aircraft, according to a report by The Assocated Press (AP). AEI announces order for 15 B737-800SF conversions
Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) has announced that Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has placed an order for 15 B737-800SF conversions with options for an additional 15 freighters. AEI will commence the conformity B737-800SF modification in 2016 and expects to receive FAA Supplemental Type Certification in 2017.
