Atlas Air completes MSC freighter order
Atlas Air has taken delivery of another Boeing 777 Freighter, completing the first set of four aircraft that it will operate on behalf of MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company SA. Taiwan’s EVA Air has finalised a firm order with Airbus for the purchase of 18 A350-1000 aircraft, becoming the latest airline to select the type for its future long-haul requirements. Japan Airlines (JAL) took delivery of its first A350-1000 from the Toulouse facility earlier this month, which the carrier plans to deploy initially on the Tokyo-New York (HND-JFK) route. Cathay joins list of future Airbus A350F owners
Cathay Cargo is the latest amongst major airlines to select the Airbus A350 freighter to meet its future fleet requirements, with an order for six aircraft. The Hong Kong-based carrier, which has six older B747-400ERFs due for replacement and 14 B747-8Fs, expects the widebody freighters to be delivered between 2027 and 2029. Embraer E2 jets gain type certification in Singapore
Embraer’s E190-E2 and E195-E2 have attained type certification from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). Scoot, low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, is due to operate the E190-E2 from 2024.
