Qatar Airways to restart London Gatwick flights on 20 August

With the resumption of Gatwick, Qatar Airways Cargo will operate 74 weekly flights, with 1,400 tonnes of weekly capacity.

Qatar Airways will restart daily flights to London Gatwick starting 20 August on fuel-efficient Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, according to a press release. 

With the addition of Gatwick, the airline operates 45 weekly flights landing on four airports, including Edinburgh (three weekly flights)Gatwick (daily flights)Heathrow (three daily flights) and Manchester (two daily flights). 

The airline said Qatar Airways Cargo currently runs eight freighter flights per week to London Heathrow and London Stansted in the United Kingdom. During the pandemic, the cargo carrier operated charters and freight-only passenger aircraft tmove British exports and transport essential medical supplies and equipment 

When passenger flights to London Gatwick resume, Qatar Airways Cargo will operate 74 weekly flights to the United Kingdom, offering more than 1,400 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity each way.
