IAG Cargo has completed a number of significant infrastructure upgrades to Premia, its London Heathrow-based premium freight handling facility. According to IAG, customers using relevant their cargo premium products, including Constant Climate and Prioritise, will benefit from an even higher standard of customer service, helping to ensure that shipments get to their markets on time and in perfect condition.
Some of the key enhancements include over 50 per cent improvement in loose handling capability; new export/import offices to accelerate pick-up and delivery of small express freight; enhanced operational procedures and optimised use of space for a more efficient facility.
Tony Nothman, head of operations UK and Overseas at IAG Cargo, commented: “Our investment in Premia means we can continue to grow our share of the premium products market, confident that we have the capacity and capabilities to meet our customer commitments.”
