Qantas Freight will increase its domestic fleet with six Airbus A321 aircraft to meet growing e-commerce demand and as part of replacing its older freighters. Qantas merges business units as International CEO steps down
Sydney-based Qantas Group has made a cut to its Group Management Committee in view of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, with Qantas International’s CEO, Tino La Spina, relieving his post effective 1 September, a press release confirmed. The Group expects its international flights to remain grounded until at least mid-2021. Qantas Freight and the Australia Post Group today announced a five-year extension of their international mail air freight agreement. This agreement sees Qantas Freight handle 12,000 tonnes of mail and parcels out of Australia each year.
