Qatar Airways received its first 747-8 freighter at a delivery ceremony attended by His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways group chief executive and Boeing Commercial Airplanes president and CEO Kevin McAllister. Boeing raises forecast for airplane demand in China
Boeing projects a demand for 7,240 new airplanes in China over the next 20 years with a total value of nearly $1.1 trillion dollars, according to its annual China Current Market Outlook (CMO). Airplane demand had also rose 6.3% over last year’s forecast. On a global scale, Boeing projects the need for 41,030 new commercial airplanes over the next 20 years, that is valued at $6.1 trillion dollars. Atlas Air Inc secures deal with Nippon Cargo Airlines
Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. recently announced that its Atlas Air, Inc. unit had entered into an agreement to operate a second Boeing 747-400 Freighter for Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA), with an opportunity for additional aircraft in the future.
