Air Astana's third B767-300ER arrived in Almaty yesterday, bringing the average age of the fleet down to only 5.4 years; the youngest in Central Asia and one of the youngest in the world. Boeing and All Nippon Airways (ANA) have celebrated the delivery of the airline’s first B787-9 Dreamliner. ANA will become the world’s first airline to operate both the B787-8 and B787-9 variants of the Dreamliner family when the airline launches B787-9 services on domestic Japanese routes in August. Cargolux welcomes 10th B747-8 freighter
Cargolux Airlines International will take delivery of its 10th B747-8 freighter from Boeing on 25 July. The aircraft, named ‘City of Contern’, is scheduled to leave Boeing’s Paine Field in Seattle on 24 July and after stopovers at Seattle Tacoma and Calgary, where the new freighter picks up a load of cargo, it will arrive in Luxembourg on 25 July. Garuda delays London service due to Jakarta runway problem
Due to runway problems at Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Garuda Indonesia has been forced to postpone its new service to London, which had initially been planned for 2 November 2013.
