Boeing and Kuwait Airways have finalised an order for 10 777-300ERs, valued at US$3.3 billion at list prices. The airline originally announced its intent to order the 777-300ER in November. Boeing and Malaysia Airlines celebrated the carrier's 100th 737 direct delivery. The aircraft, a B737-800, arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia yesterday. RJ receives its 5th Dreamliner
Royal Jordanian welcomed its fifth 787 aircraft, thus completing the assimilation of the first group of its 787 order. Royal Jordanian’s acting president/CEO Captain Haitham Misto said that the 787s that RJ acquired are a new, advanced generation of the 787. The five new airliners are working on RJ’s medium- and long-range routes, replacing the airline’s four A340s and one A330. Kuwait Airways to take 10 new 777-300ERs
Ten new 777-300ER aircraft, worth US$3.3 billion at current list prices, will be delivered to Kuwait Airways from November 2016. The airline will use them to launch new routes, but these routes were undisclosed. Last February, Kuwait Airways agreed to purchase 25 new aircraft including A320-neos and A350s. Boeing begins final assembly on 787-9 Dreamliner
Boeing has started final assembly of the 787-9 Dreamliner at its South Carolina facility. The team began joining large fuselage sections of the newest 787 Nov. 22 on schedule. The North Charleston, S.C., site joins Boeing’s Everett, Wash., final assembly, which began 787-9 production in May 2013. SMBC places $8.5B Boeing order
Boeing and SMBC Aviation Capital announced an order for 80 737 MAX 8s, valued at more than US$8.5 billion at list prices. The deal is the largest single order for 737 MAXs from a leasing company.
