Austrian Airlines returns to Shanghai with weekly flights
After several postponements due to the dynamic market situation, Austrian Airlines will once again fly to Shanghai from 2 October, a press release confirmed. A Boeing 767 will fly from Vienna to Shanghai every Friday, with a return flight scheduled the following Sunday. Lufthansa Cargo rides out a challenging year 2% up
Lufthansa Cargo again maintained its leading position in Europe last year, with a total of 1.6 million tonnes of freight and mail flown and 8.4 billion revenue tonne-kilometres sold. The total volume grew slightly by 2.0 per cent in what the German carriers said was a "challenging market environment". Lufthansa Cargo says it will continue to operate all of its flights despite the walkout announced by the pilots’ union, Vereinigung Cockpit. The strike was set to ground all cargo flights scheduled to depart from Frankfurt on Wednesday and Thursday.
