Cargo decline continues for Cathay, intra-Asia steady
Cathay Pacific Airways, the world's largest air cargo carrier, has said its cargo throughput fell in September, the sixth consecutive drop, with passenger volumes also beginning to look more uncertain.

Cathay places order for eight B777-200Fs
Cathay Pacific Airways has announced a significant investment in 12 B777s, including eight B777-200 Freighters and four B777-300ER passenger aircraft. The 12 new aircraft have a list price of about HK$25.6 billion. The aircraft are expected to be delivered to the airline between 2013 and 2016 and will be powered by General Electric GE90 engines.
