El Al Israel Airlines said it plans to inaugurate cargo flights from Israel to Moscow Domodedovo International Airport starting in November with weekly flights. From December this will increase to two weekly flights and will increase as market demand dictates, the carriers said.
From Moscow DME, the flights will continue to Shanghai Pudong Airport. Th e carrier also expects a 15-20 per cent jump in demand for flights to destinations in Asia, ahead of the 2008 Beijing Olympics as more and more tourists and sports fans join the current business travelers who are the mainstay on the Tel Aviv-Beijing route.
