Hong Kong Post has launched a new service called iMail, together with two value-added facilities – insurance and online credit card payment.
The postal organisation explained that iMail, which had emerged from its Bulk Registered Air Mail service, was tailor made for shipping small-sized goods sold online. “It provides an ideal B2C (business to consumer) total solution that facilitates the whole mailing process from mail preparation to delivery to overseas buyers.”
Hong Kong Post said it had originally “soft launched” iMail in April. It had subsequently received “positive feedback “from customers and had extended the service trial and a discount of $5 per kilo on the charges.
