CPSL welcomes new customer EVA Air
Cathay Pacific Services Limited (CPSL) has commenced its cargo operations and documentation services for EVA Air at the Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal on 5th January 2015.

Cathay Pacific Services Limited (CPSL) has commenced its cargo operations and documentation services for EVA Air at the Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal on 5th January 2015. CPSL chief executive officer Kelvin Ko said: “The transition went extremely well. Thanks to the tremendous efforts of the teams over the past six months. Apart from standards and quality, CPSL also shares the same vision with EVA in customer services.”
“We appreciate the commitment CPSL has been demonstrating to facilitate our cargo operations in Hong Kong,” said James Chiou, general manager of EVA Airways Corp. (Hong Kong Branch). “We look forward to making closer collaboration with them.”
Meanwhile, CPSL released its first full year handling tonnage with its cargo terminal handling 1.45 million tonnes of cargo in 2014. The terminal saw its highest tonnage record on 8 November 2014, handling 5,476 tonnes of cargo on the day. Traffic at CPCT was largely driven by transhipment in 2014, accounting for 54 per cent of the cargo tonnage throughput with the percentages of import and export cargo tonnage were 15 and 31 per cent, respectively.
CPSL CEO Kelvin Ko said: “2014 was Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal’s first full-year of operations. With concerted efforts by our dedicated team, we were able to achieve the highest level of service performance that we promised our customers from the beginning.”
