Taiwan’s China Airlines has appointed Ringo Chao Kuo-Shui chairman. The 51- year-old becomes the youngest chairman of any government-controlled company in the country.
He previously was with Eva Air and China Airlines subsidiary Mandarin Airlines.
“We will all strive to hold ourselves accountable to our core values of flight safety, service, innovation and discipline, and we will work to make Taiwan proud of China Airlines,” said Chao noting that “CAL needs to further enhance its flight safety”.
In Mr. Chao’s long airline career, he has served as President of China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines, General Manager of EVA Air’s Europe Branch, and General Manager of EVA Air’s Thailand and San Francisco branches.
