Cargo tonnage at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) reached a record-high monthly total of 367,000 tonnes in May, up a massive 41.9 per cent year-on-year, according to Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK). Fraport sees rising volumes across group
Cargo throughput (airfreight and airmail) at the Fraport Group’s five majority-owned airports – Frankfurt, Antalya in Turkey, Burgas and Varna in Bulgaria, and Lima in Peru grew by 27.5 per cent to 217,000 tonnes in June over the same period a year earlier. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced international scheduled traffic statistics for June which showed continued strong demand growth as the industry recovers from the impact of the global financial crisis.
