TNT reported a 32.3 per cent drop in third-quarter net profit to €113 million (US$142.5 million), with its Express unit's EBIT declining 23.8 per cent to €99 million. Overall revenue grew just 1.5 per cent to €2.69 billion while Express revenue rose 2.3 per cent to €1.66 billion. DHL Express has launched a new transpacific partnership with Polar Air Cargo, a subsidiary of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. Blue Dart Express Ltd sees its quarterly sales climb as profit drops year-on-year. Income from operations for the quarter ended 30 September ‘08 was INR 2,628.4 million, compared to INR 2,073 million a year earlier. FedEx breaks ground on largest solar facility
FedEx Express recently broke ground on its largest solar facility and first outside the US, when it began construction of its new Central and Eastern European gateway at the Cologne/Bonn airport in Germany. The hub is slated for completion in 2010.
