Airbus deploys test aircraft to move India relief support
Airbus has doubled down on its response to the health crisis in India by delivering more than 36 tonnes of additional medical equipment to the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) and deploying humanitarian flights to move supplies from abroad as well as within the country. ST Engineering and Airbus’ joint venture, Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW), announced an order for four Airbus A321 passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversions from Dublin-based leasing company GTLK Europe. Boeing eyes Latin America for B737 freighter conversions
Boeing has announced a new partnership with MRO provider COOPESA (Cooperativa Autogestionaria de Servicios Aeroindustriales) to add more freighter conversion capacity for the 737-800 in Latin America over the next few years. The US-based aircraft manufacturer predicts demand to reach 1,500 freighter conversions over the next 20 years thanks to growing demand from express and e-commerce markets. Airbus names new Southeast Asia head
Airbus has named Chris Drewer as senior vice president for Airbus commercial aircraft in Southeast Asia. Drewer joined Airbus in November 2020 from GE Aviation.
