Singapore Airlines has signed a letter of intent with Airbus for seven A350F freighter aircraft, with options to order five more of the widebody jet’s cargo version. Airbus secures CMA CGM commitment for the A350F
After the initial announcement of the first ever commitment for the Airbus A350 freighter at the Dubai airshow last week, the European manufacturer has secured another commitment from leading shipping and logistics player CMA CGM Group. Vietjet and Rolls-Royce have signed an agreement to provide Trent 700 engines and engine services for the airline’s incoming widebody fleet with a total value of approximately US$400 million during the Prime Minister’s attendance at COP26, the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties, in the United Kingdom. ST Engineering this week announced two new engine MRO contracts with airlines, underscoring its value proposition of providing flexible solutions to its airline partners. Airbus said its board had backed plans for an A350 freighter to enter service in 2025 as it looks to take head on rival Boeing’s dominance in the air cargo market, Reuters reports.
