BOC Aviation has expanded its Asia-Pacific marketing team with the appointment of John Bloemen as vice president. Based in Singapore, Bloemen reports to Steven Townend, chief commercial officer. Following his appointment, BOC Aviation will have a team of nine marketing specialists with presence in Asia, Europe and the Americas. A lawyer by profession, Bloemen was previously with aircraft lessor, AWAS where he was vice president of sales based in London. He has eight years of experience in the aircraft leasing business.
BOC Aviation is a Singapore-based aircraft leasing company wholly owned by the Bank of China with a portfolio of 82 aircraft flying with airlines worldwide. In addition, the company has 58 aircraft on firm order for delivery through to 2013.
