Tiruchi cargo complex awaits official go-ahead

India's Tiruchi Airport, located in the country's southern Tamil Nadu state hopes to start functioning as an air cargo complex from 1 December pending a formal go-ahead, according to a report in The Hindu.
The Central Board of Excise and Customs has recently approved a proposal to declare the Tiruchi airport as an air cargo complex, which would pave the way for direct cargo import/export but the airport says it has yet to receive formal notification.
