EUROPE & CIS: AF-KLM cargo traffic slips in May

Air France-KLM cargo traffic slipped 1.4 per cent in May from a year earlier. The carrier boosted capacity 2.7 per cent from May 2010, resulting in a load factor of 67.8 per cent, down 2.9 percentage points from May 2009.

Traffic, measured by revenue tonnekilometers, climbed 2.8 per cent on the Americas network on a 5.4 per cent increase in capacity. But Asia-Pacific volume declined 3.1 per cent on 1.4 per cent more capacity with load factors of 77.5 per cent.
