DHL pull-out means cuts for 300 Astar pilots

Astar Air Cargo said it will lay off 303 pilots between 6 March and 1 July as a result of DHL’s decision in 2009 to eliminate its US express delivery operations to instead focus on international-US shipments in order to cut its US$1 billion annual losses in that market.
