Agility to support Chevron’s Gorgon Project

Agility Project Logistics has announced that it has entered into an A$250 million (US$200 million) agreement with Chevron Australia Pty Ltd for supply base operations and transportation services to support the Gorgon Project.

The Gorgon Project is a joint venture between the Australian subsidiaries of Chevron (Operator), Exxon Mobil and Shell, to develop the Greater Gorgon gas field located between 130 km and 200 km off the north-west coast of Western Australia. The Greater Gorgon gas fields contain resources of about 40 trillion cubic feet of gas, Australia’s largest-known undeveloped gas resource.

“This is a significant step for the company as it continues to develop its world class logistic operations to support the Australian off shore oil and gas industry,” said Agility Australia’s MD Mick Turnbull.
