Trinidad-based Caribbean Airlines has added a new “third” cargo service to Trinidad from Miami starting from mid-June. The new flight is in direct response to an increased demand for cargo airlift between Trinidad and the US, the company said.
With the addition of this service, Caribbean Airlines Cargo now operates three services per week with leased wide bodied air-freighters, each with a capacity in excess of 40 tonnes. Two freighters currently fly from Miami to Trinidad’s Piarco International Airport via Barbados returning non-stop to Miami on Tuesdays and Fridays, while the Airline’s new third service flies non-stop to Port-of-Spain from Miami and back on Wednesdays.
