Ameco Beijing said recently its operational revenue increased 17.5 per cent in 2008 from the previous year without releasing details. Ameco Beijing, a 60/40 joint venture of Air China and Lufthansa, said its revenue has increased at a double digit rate annually since 2002. Man-hours performed in airframe overhaul increased 4 per cent, the company’s engine workload rose 6.5 per cent and its landing gear workjumped 62 per cent.
In 2008, Ameco Beijing opened a hangar large enough to accommodate an Airbus A380 and it also began doing winglet modifications on Boeing 767s, developed A330 C check capability and added 10 new line maintenance customers, bringing its total to 60.
