ANA mulls maindeck to Malaysia or Vietnam

After recently announcing that it was launching a daily passenger service from Tokyo to Kuala Lumpur from 1 September this year, All-Nippon Airways (ANA) said it plans to launch freighter service to Malaysia or Vietnam.

Tashiaki Toyama, ANA-Cargo’s executive vice president (global marketing), told Bernama: “In view of the impending formation of the Asean Economic Community (AEC), the region’s attractiveness has further increased. This will also intensify our allcargo trade by air, not only between the member states of the Asean community, but also the Asia-Pacific Region”.

Toyama also said that the express service segment in the intra-Asia market is an area that is inherent with strong business potential for the Japanese carrier’s B2C e-commerce business.
