Emirates Skycargo has bolstered operations on its African trade route network with the introduction of a weekly freighter service to Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. This is the 27th African destination to join the carrier’s network.
Emirates SkyCargo operates a B777F on the Dubai-Ouagadougou-Dakar (Senegal)-Frankfurt (Germany)-Dubai route. The aircraft is capable of carrying over 100 t of cargo each direction. The airline anticipates transporting goods such as pharmaceuticals and electronics from Mumbai (India) and Guangzhou (China) into Burkina Faso, and conveying that country’s local products and commodities such as mangoes and fresh beans to cities like Frankfurt and Dubai.
