Chongqing-based West Air has appliedfor an expansion of its license toinclude international operations to serveHong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, as wellas other international routes to neighbouringcountries. The low-cost carrieris majority owned by HNA Group, theparent of Hainan Airlines and also hassmall bases in Sanya and Zhengzhou.The carrier currently operates four A319-100s and 13 A320-200s to 18 domesticdestinations out of Chongqing JiangbeiInternational Airport.
