Payload Asia Awards 2014

As the saying goes, ‘when the going gets tough, the tough get going’. No where was this more true than with the winners of this year’s Payload Asia Awards 2014 where the industry’s leading lights competed in two distinct awards categories for the top honours in Payload Asia’s annual awards programme.

As the saying goes, ‘when the going gets tough, the tough get going’. No where was this more true than with the winners of this year’s Payload Asia Awards 2014 where the industry’s leading lights competed in two distinct awards categories for the top honours in Payload Asia’s annual awards programme.

In the face of the continuing challenging market conditions for the air cargo sector, the hard work, innovative solutions and many successes of the air cargo community were recognised and celebrated on 31 October at a gala awards night at the Marina Mandarin Hotel in Singapore. Preceding the event earlier in the day was the Payload Asia Conference, which saw nearly 200 delegates participate in a series of presentations and roundtables covering pertinent issues in the industry.

With over 200 senior industry representatives present the Gala Awards Dinner, the evening was graced by guest of honour, director-general of Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), Yap Ong Heng. An evening of fine wine, food and entertainment, networking and camaraderie accompanied the awards honours.

The awards covered some 22 categories of the air cargo sector, as well as three special category Editor’s Choice awards, which together are clearly setting a new benchmark among the existing air cargo industry awards.
