Shenzhen China-based express delivery company SF Express announced that it will be taking over the international delivery service of Costco, a US-based warehouse merchandise retailer. SF Express said it can deliver overseas products from the US in as short as five days. After Costco transfers the products to the Taiwan headquarters of SF Express, the China-based SF Express will process customs clearance, after which the goods will be delivered to consumers in China. E-commerce firms have become an increasingly important factor driving the development of cold chain logistics in China. SF Express recently opened Heike, an online shopping service which integrates services with SF Express’ cold chain logistics and the company’s SF Best subsidiary also offers an online shopping platform featuring food and beverages.

SF Express recently announced plans to expand its fleet of aircraft from the current 20 to 60 by 2015 and to over 150 aircraft by 2021.
