NCA puts B747-8F on Frankfurt-Hahn service

Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) hasannounced it will upsize its capacityflying into Frankfurt-Hahn airport, fromB747-400Fs to B747-8Fs. The adjustmentto accommodate modern aircraft is aresult of Frankfurt-Hahn’s investmentin the expansion of its airstrip. Last year the airport established a new runway endsafety area (RESA) which is necessary toallow bigger aircraft, such as the B747-8F,to land at the airport. The airport notedthat airlines including Silk Way andAtlas Air are already taking advantageof this development. The announcementof NCA shows that RESA was the rightinvestment“, said Markus Bunk, businessmanager at Frankfurt-Hahn airport.
