Vietnam’s Da Nang International Airport has welcomed the addition of a new cargo terminal due to open in August, that is expected to handle up to 16,000 tonnes of cargo annually. The terminal, which spreads over an area of 2,400 square metres, will also be able to accommodate five nine-tonne trucks at any given time.

Authorities say that with the new terminal the airport will have the capacity to handle 100,000 tonnes of cargo annually. Da Nang International Airport is now the third largest airport in Viet Nam, accommodating 150 flight arrivals and departures, 15,000 passengers and about 50 tonnes of cargo every day.
