Tunisia’s Syphax Airlines could launchits maiden flights to the Far East witha Tunis to Beijing Capital service as earlyas November, the carrier’s CEO MohamedFrikha was quoted as saying recentlybased on the signing of a new Bilateral AirServices Accord (BASA) between Tunisiaand China on 10 June.

Currently theTunisian carrier’s sole long-haul route isa weekly service to Montréal operatedwith the airline’s only widebody aircraft,an A330-200. The carrier was established in 2011 with the aim of tapping thecountry’s geographical position betweenEast and West.
