BOC Aviation has signed an agreement with PT Lion Mentari Airlines for four B737-800 aircraft and one B737-900ER for delivery to the Indonesian carrier this year and in 2015. This follows and earlier agreement in November 2012 for six B737-800 and three B737-900ER aircraft.

“The demand for short-haul regional routes remains robust, both within and outside of Indonesia,” said Rusdi Kirana, president-director of Lion Air. “This second transaction with BOC Aviation underscores the success of our strategy and our partnership with BOC Aviation in providing financing solutions for our B737NG aircraft delivery stream.”

BOC Aviation – wholly owned by Bank of China and based in Singapore – is the leading Asia-based aircraft leasing company with a portfolio of 238 modern aircraft operated by 55 airlines worldwide.
