A new international air cargo operation has started up in Miami with Dynamic Airways, already a passenger charter airline based in North Carolina, selecting Miami International Airport (MIA) as the its first base for cargo operations. The airline will bring two 38 tonne capacity B767-200ERSF aircraft to the airport and will operate under the corporate brand of 21 Air. The new main deck player expects to carry perishable products from the Dominican Republic, among other goods from the Latin American and Caribbean region. MIA currently handles more than 71 per cent of all perishable imports by air to the US.
